Position: Advertising Service Representative
Classification: Full Time and Part Time, Regular and Temporary
Basic Requirements:
- Commitment to excellence in customer service;
- BachelorÕs Degree preferred;
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: advertising sales and advertising processing, including order entry and materials handling; customer service with special emphasis on the financial services of credit, collections and contracts;
- Excellent telephone manner, including the ability to defuse problem situations;
- PC experience required;
- 40 wpm typing preferred;
- Ability to handle multiple demands calmly & efficiently, while maintaining attention to detail & follow through;
- Ability to work in a team setting;
- Ability to meet deadlines;
- History of taking personal responsibility to make sure a job is complete.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintaining communication with sales reps and managers on account status;
- Answering potential customersÕ questions and referring sales leads to sales reps;
- Providing support for advertisers and sales reps;
- Entering ad orders, ad changes and account information into database;
- Receiving and processing advertising copy efficiently and accurately; making changes in ad copy; arranging for tear sheets and proof delivery;
- Setting up new accounts and making basic credit and payment decisions;
- Processing new contracts and assuring their application to current bills;
- Ensuring accurate bills; answering billing questions from advertisers and reconciling accounts;
- Contributing to the team environment.
