Position: Administrative Assistant/Confidential Secretary

Classification: Full Time

Basic Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills required; experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred;
  • Excellent secretarial skills including 60 wpm typing, excellent grammar and spelling; good writing skills; courteous and professional telephone manners;
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with good follow-through and attention to detail;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
  • Well organized, self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

General Responsibilities:

  • Typing and filing correspondence, reports, etc.;
  • Handling a heavy volume of incoming calls, answering inquiries and making the appropriate referrals;
  • Developing spreadsheets and reports;
  • Preparing expense reports, scheduling internal and external meetings, handling travel arrangements;
  • Handling day-to-day office procedures to assure a smooth-running office;
  • Assisting with confidential personnel matters;
  • Other duties as assigned.
