Trisha A. Volland
Charles County Public Schools
Mrs. Volland is a foreign language teacher at Benjamin Stoddert
Middle School. She began her teaching career in 1989 with the
Prince George’s County Public School system as a foreign
language teacher and department chair at LaReine High School
in Suitland, a position she held for three years. In 1992,
Mrs. Volland joined Charles County Public Schools, assuming
her present position as a foreign language teacher. During
her 14-year tenure with Stoddert Middle School, she has assisted
with the design of Calvert County Public School’s French
I curriculum guide and designed the first French Level I countywide
assessment. Mrs. Volland received a bachelor of arts degree
in language and literature with a concentration in French from
St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and a master of science
degree in curriculum and instruction from Western Maryland
College in Westminster.
