Jennifer D. Thompson
Manassas City Public Schools

Mrs. Thompson is a reading specialist at Baldwin Elementary School. In 1988, she began her career in education with the Manassas City School system as a fourth grade classroom teacher at George C. Round Elementary School. Six years later, Mrs. Thompson transitioned to teaching third grade at Round Elementary, until 2001 when she assumed her present position. While at Round Elementary, she was designated “Master Teacher” by the school’s administration in 1999. Mrs. Thompson was also voted “Employee of the Month” by her peers in May 1998 and in December 2004. She received a bachelor of arts degree in education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va., and a master of arts degree in professional studies from George Mason University.
