Stephen R. Scholla
Fairfax County Public Schools

Mr. Scholla is a physics teacher at Oakton High School. His entire career as an educator has taken place in the Fairfax County Public School system where he has taught every level of physics offered by the county since 1990. During Mr. Scholla’s tenure with Fairfax County, he also taught physics at West Springfield High School. In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Scholla currently serves as a lecturer and recitation instructor for University Physics at George Mason University and as an instructor of the Science and Engineering course at the Alexandria day site of the Center for Talented Youth. From 1997 to 2000, he served as an instructor in the Master of Arts in Physics Education program at the University of Virginia. Mr. Scholla received a bachelor of science degree in physics from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and a master of arts degree in physics education from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
