Victoria Wilcox
Prince William County Public Schools

Mrs. Wilcox is a math specialist and kindergarten teacher at Thurgood Marshall Elementary School. She began her teaching career with the Department of Defense Schools in 1974 as a kindergarten teacher at Bad Nauheim Elementary School in Bad Nauheim, Germany where she remained from three years. From 1977 to 1980, Mrs. Wilcox took time off from teaching to raise a family. In 1980, she taught kindergarten at West Point Elementary School in West Point, N.Y. where she remained for three years. From 1983 to 1986, Mrs. Wilcox taught kindergarten at Van Voorish Elementary School in Fort Knox, Kentucky. In 1986, she taught kindergarten at Seoul American Elementary in Seoul Korea where she remained for two years. In 1988, she joined the Prince William County Public School system as a kindergarten teacher at Yorkshire Elementary School in Manassas, Va., for six years. In 1994, Mrs. Wilcox she taught first grade at Thurgood Marshall Elementary. In 1995, Mrs. Wilcox was a part of the instructional support team for Prince William County Public Schools. In 1996, she returned to Thurgood Marshall and assumed her current position. She received her bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Texas in El Paso, Tex., and a master of education degree in early childhood education from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Ill.
