C. Adrienne White
District of Columbia Public Schools

Ms. White is a French teacher at Cardozo Senior High School. She has worked in the District of Columbia Public School system since becoming an educator in 1972. Ms. White has taught at Garnett-Patterson and Rabaut Junior High Schools and at Ballou Senior High School. In 1990, she was one of the recipients of the Walt Disney Company’s American Teacher Award. In 1996, Ms. White won a National Endowment for the Humanities Teacher Fellowship and from 2002-2003 participated in the Fullbright Teacher Exchange Program. She received a bachelor of science degree in French from West Virginia State College in Institute, W. Va., and a master of arts degree in French from the Université de Paris, France.
