Maryellen Mackall
Calvert County Public Schools

Mrs. Mackall is a third grade teacher at Appeal Elementary School and has spent her education career in the Calvert County Public School system. From 1962 to 1967, she was a first and second grade instructor at Island Creek School. Mrs. Mackall then moved to Appeal Elementary School where she taught third grade for the next two years. From 1968 to 1970, she taught third grade at Solomon’s Elementary School. In 1970, Mrs. Mackall took time of from teaching to raise her family. In 1971, she returned to teaching and to Appeal Elementary School where she has taught for the last 33 years. Ms. Mackall received her 40-year service award in public education in February 2004. She received her bachelor of science degree in education from Bowie State College in Bowie, Md.
