W. Kevin Lloyd

Mr. Lloyd is a music teacher at Linganore High School. He began his teaching career in 1987 as an adjunct instructor at the University of Maryland, where he taught and arranged the school’s marching percussion section and conducted the basketball pep band, a position he held for three years. From 1988 to 1997, Mr. Lloyd was an instrumental music teacher with the Frederick County Board of Education, working as a percussion specialist in 10 middle schools and numerous high schools. In 1995, he moved to Liganore High School where he teaches the concert and marching bands, jazz, percussion and guitar ensembles and music technology classes. He also serves as the performing arts department chairperson. He received his bachelor of music and master of music degrees in music from West Virginia University in Morgantown, W. Va.
