Douglas M. Dillon
Loudoun County Public Schools

Mr. Dillion, a seventh grade social science teacher at Harper Park Middle School, has been teaching social studies in Loudoun County since 1995. In 1995, he began his teaching career as a fifth grade teacher at Sanders Corner Elementary School in Ashburn, Va. where he remained for four years. While teaching at Sanders Corner, Mr. Dillon was also a member of the school improvement committee and a math coordinator. In 1999, he received a grant from Target Stores for a grant project entitled The Civil War Comes to Sanders Corner. Mr. Dillion joined the faculty at Harper Park in 1999 and is involved on the School Improvement Committee. He is also an active member of the Virginia Department of Education Standards of Learning (SOL) Standard Setting Committee. Mr. Dillon has a bachelor of arts degree in history from the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va., and a master of education from Marymount University in Arlington, Va.
