Robin Nussbaum
Howard County Public Schools

Ms. Nussbaum is a special education teacher at Cedar Lane Elementary. She began her teaching career as an elementary school teacher at South Yarmouth Elementary School in South Yarmouth, Mass. During her tenure at South Yarmouth Elementary, she taught first grade, second grade and first and second grades combined. From 1977 to 1980, Ms. Nussbaum was lead teacher and from 1980 to 1981, she was the program coordinator at Shore Collaborative in Medford, Mass. She worked as a teacher-therapist at the Children's Guild in Baltimore, Md., from 1981 to 1986. In addition to teaching, from 1985 to 1989, Ms. Nussbaum also worked as a tutor at the Family Connection in Baltimore, Md. From 1986 to 1990, she was a Special Education teacher at Chatsworth School in Towson, Md. In 1991, she assumed her current position at Cedar Lane. Since 1993, she has been the Special Education Team Leader. Ms. Nussbaum received a B.S. degree in human development from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass., and an M.S. degree in communicative disorders from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md.
