Jason Kamras
District of Columbia Public Schools

Mr. Kamras is a seventh grade mathematics and social studies teacher at Sousa Middle School. He began his teaching career at Sousa in 1996. During his tenure, Mr. Kamras has taught sixth and seventh grade mathematics as well as sixth, seventh and eighth grade social studies. In addition to teaching, he has designed a special pilot math program to address the needs of Sousa's students and he is an Instructional Team Leader. Mr. Kamras was awarded the Mayor's Art Award for Outstanding Contribution to Arts Education in December 2001. He received an A.B. from Princeton University in Princeton, N.J. and an Ed.M. from Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.
