Lori H. Bower
Frederick County Public Schools

Mrs. Bower is a choral instructor at Oakdale Elementary School. She began her teaching career in the Baltimore County Public School system in 1989 as a choral instructor and general music teacher at Deep Creek Middle School in Baltimore, Md., where she remained for two years. Mrs. Bower then taught at Pine Grove Middle School, in Baltimore, for one year. In 1992, Mrs. Bower joined the Frederick County School system as the choral instructor at Middletown Middle School. She took one year off in 1993 to raise her family and returned to teaching in 1994 at New Market Elementary School. She then took a second leave of three years to raise her family. Mrs. Bower returned to Frederick County Schools in 1998 and was the choral instructor and general music teacher at Thurmont Middle School for one year. She then taught at Monocacy Elementary School for one year before assuming her current position at Oakdale. Mrs. Bower, an accomplished musician, teaches private voice lessons and conducts music camps during the summer months. She earned a B.S. degree and an M.S. degree in music education from Towson University in Towson, Md.
