Brian M. Bassett
Prince William County Public Schools

Mr. Bassett is the international baccalaureate science teacher at Gar-Field High School. His entire career has taken place in the Prince William County Public School system where he has worked since 1996. In addition to teaching at Gar-Field, Mr. Bassett taught biology in summer school in 1997 and 2001 and currently teaches an after-school Standards of Learning (S.O.L.) remediation course. In 2002, he was nominated for the Radio Shack National Teacher Award and serves as a committee chair for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. He received a B.S. degree in biology from Longwood College in Farmville, Va., and an M.Ed. degree in administration from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
