The Music & Dance Scholarship
Awards were launched in 2002 and
became the newest member of The
Post's Community
Relations' Outreach Programs. Support
of education and the arts is given
the highest priority at The Post.
Each year,
The Washington Post, throught its
comm`unity outreach programs, demonstrates
its commitment to education in
the Washington
metropolitan area. As an active,
involved corporate citizen, The
Post encourages educators and young
people to pursue and
realize their own potential and
successes through a variety of
programs. The Music & Dance
Scholarship Awards, like The Post's
other educational outreach programs,
help to: inspire
and rejuvenate educators, address
area student's needs, uplift spirits,
and spur creativity and imagination
while improving
the quality of life in our neighborhoods.
