Allan D. Arbogast,
Anne Arundel County Public Schools, is the principal of Ridgeway Elementary School. Mr. Arbogast has worked his entire career in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools system. He began his career in education in 1977 as a fourth grade teacher at Crofton Elementary School where he remained for ten years. In 1987, he moved to Southgate Elementary School in Glen Burnie, Md., as assistant principal serving a two-year tenure. Mr. Arbogast joined Crofton Woods Elementary School in Crofton, Md., as an assistant principal from 1989 until 1992 when he became principal at Annapolis Elementary School in Maryland. He assumed his current position in 1995 at Ridgeway Elementary School. During his tenure at Ridgeway, Mr. Arbogast oversaw the design and construction of a new elementary school building in 1997. Under Mr. Arbogast’s leadership, Ridgeway Elementary School was recognized as the Exceptional Parenting School of the Year by Exceptional Parent Magazine in 2002 and 2003. Mr. Arbogast has a BA degree in political science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and an MEd in education administration from the University of Maryland, College Park.
