Patricia S. Miller,
Manassas Park Public Schools, is the principal of Cougar Elementary School. Dr. Miller began her career in education in 1975, as an adult educator at Big Bend Community College in Mannheim, Germany and continued working as an adult educator for the next ten years. From 1986 to 1989, she was a fourth grade classroom teacher at the American International School of Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Germany. In 1989, Dr. Miller was a second grade classroom teacher at The Pennfield School in Portsmouth, R.I., where she taught for one year. From 1990 to 1991, she was a bilingual kindergarten teacher at The Islamic Saudi Academy in Fairfax Va., and was promoted to vice principal in 1991, a position she held for seven years. In 1998, Dr. Miller joined the Manassas Park City School system as principal of Connor Elementary School, where she remained for three years. From 2001 to 2003 she was principal of Manassas Park Elementary School until she assumed her present position. Dr. Miller holds a BS degree in business administration and elementary education from St. John°s University in Staten Island, N.Y., an MA degree in executive development for public service from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., and an EdD in educational leadership from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.
