George E. Chiplock, Jr.,
is the principal of Corpus Christi Elementary School in Falls Church, Va. Mr. Chiplock began his career in education in 1968, as a classroom teacher at Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C. In 1972, he was promoted to vice principal and dean of academic affairs at Archbishop Carroll, where he remained for 17 years. During his tenure at Archbishop Carroll, Mr. Chiplock, received certificates of merit from the Middle States Association of Secondary Schools in 1972 and 1975. He assumed his present position in 1989. Mr. Chiplock also serves on the board of community advisors for New Home/Safe Haven Shelter for the Homeless. He holds a BA degree in humanities from Biscayne College in Miami, Fla., and an MA degree in world history from Georgetown University.
