Contributions Program Guidelines
Eligibility

Funding is available for specific programs or general operating support of organizations that:

  • Are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
  • Operate in and for the benefit of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area

Funding is not available for direct support to:

  • Individuals
  • National or other organizations whose programs do not directly serve Washington area needs
  • Religious organizations for religious purposes
  • Fraternal, membership, or veterans organizations
  • Political action or advocacy groups
  • Multi-year grants
  • Challenge grants
  • Third-party fundraising efforts
  • Conferences
  • Research
  • Start-up projects
  • Capital Campaigns
