How to Get Back Issues of The Washington Post

  • Back issues up to 30 days old:

    Available at The Post's front counter Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m..

    Price: $.35 for weekday Post, plus tax.
    $1.50 for Sunday, plus tax.

  • Back issues from 30 days to 6 months old:

    Available by mail from: The Washington Post Back Copy Department
    1150 15th Street, N.W.
    Washington, D.C. 20071

    Please include your mailing address and daytime phone number.

    Price: Weekday or Sunday issues: $10.
    Prices include shipping and handling. Please add $10 extra for international shipments. For next-day shipping, please include your account number for Federal Express, Airborne Express or UPS.

    Back copies are limited and may be purchased subject to availability. The maximum that can be purchased for any date is 10 copies. No article search is available.

  • Newspapers older than 6 months:

    Articles are searchable via the Post archives on washingtonpost.com, and are also available on microfilm at many public libraries.
